Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger banged his hand on Saints linebacker Curtis Lofton during the first quarter of Sunday’s 35-32 loss.

Even though Roethlisberger did not come out of the game, he was flexing his hand and indicated to the sidelines immediately after to run the ball.

The injury happened when Roethlisberger connected with Antonio Brown on a 21-yard pass on third-and-8 in the first quarter. On the next five plays, Roethlisberger handed off. Before throwing the final play of the quarter, Roethlisberger ran over to the sidelines and tossed a pass to backup Bruce Gradkowski.

“I am sure every quarterback has that happen every game,” Roethlisberger said. “Does it hurt? Yeah. Did it affect my throwing? No.”
