We pick the winners of each NFL game.

Jacksonville vs. Tennessee

Scalpers day off! This will probably be the least intriguing game of the day as there are virtually no playoff implications, but that could make for a very competitive game. Blake Bortles will cut down on his turnovers on Sunday and the Jaguars will get their first win of the season at Tennessee for the second straight season. Jaguars 27, Titans 24.

Baltimore vs. Tampa Bay

The Bucs have been playing more competitive football since Mike Glennon was inserted into the lineup as the starting quarterback. Joe Flacco had an atrocious game last Sunday at Indianapolis, and he has those about once a month or so. He’s not going to have two atrocious games in a row. Ravens 24, Bucs 20.

Denver vs. New York Jets

This looks like a mismatch on paper. The best regular season quarterback in the history of the league against Geno Smith. The outcome is obvious, but don’t be surprised if the Jets hang around. Broncos 31, Jets 23.

Detroit vs. Minnesota

Both teams looked pitiful last week as Detroit lost at home to Kyle Orton and the Bills and Minnesota was blown out by Green Bay. The Vikings have had extra rest and the Lions likely won’t have Calvin Johnson. I’ll take the home dog in a minor upset. Vikings 27, Lions 21.

New England vs. Buffalo

The Patriots aren’t great all the time, but they can be when they need to be. The Bills appear to be improved, but how many times do we have to see them lose in a big spot before we lose confidence in them? It’s Tom Brady versus Kyle Orton- who do you think I’m going to take? Patriots 24, Bills 17.

Carolina vs. Cincinnati

There’s no A.J. Green for the Bengals. There’s no running game for the Panthers. I’ll take the team that was embarrassed last week on national television. Bengals 31, Panthers 17.

Pittsburgh vs. Cleveland

The Cleveland Browns have been great in the second halves of games this season, as evidenced by their NFL record comeback last week against Tennessee. The Pittsburgh Steelers have better football players and they play 60 minutes, not 30. Steelers 31, Browns 24.

Green Bay vs. Miami

The Packers have been playing great football and the Dolphins have been inconsistent. Miami has had an extra week to prepare and few coaches know Aaron Rodgers better than Joe Philbin. Let’s call for an upset this Sunday. Dolphins 27, Packers 24.

San Diego vs. Oakland

Everything screams blowout here. The Chargers have been dominating on both sides of the ball and the Raiders will likely start Matt McGloin at quarterback. Still, San Diego never seems to play well in the Bay Area and expect this one to be closer than you think. Chargers 23, Raiders 17.

Chicago vs. Atlanta

Wide receiver porn! The two teams with the best sets of wide receivers square off in a climate controlled environment. Expect to see plenty of scoring and explosive plays, and although Matt Ryan is great at home, his defense simply isn’t. Bears 38, Falcons 35.

Dallas vs. Seattle

It’s time to find out what the Cowboys are made of. Seattle is a place where visiting teams go to die, and also the site of Tony Romo’s famous fumbled hold on a potential game-winning field goal. Will Romo exorcise those demons? Nope. Seahawks 23, Cowboys 17.

Washington vs. Arizona

The Redskins played Seattle relatively tough on Monday night but now they travel across the country on a short week- never a good formula for winning. Arizona is a great home team and this will likely be a low-scoring, defensive affair. Cardinals 19, Redskins 16.

New York Giants vs. Philadelphia

The Giants and Eagles both did their fair share of talking this week and that amounts to absolutely nothing when it comes to the actual game. New York has seemed to figure out their new offense and the Eagles are winning games with defensive and special teams scores. That doesn’t seem sustainable. Giants 27, Eagles 26.

San Francisco vs. St. Louis

Rams quarterback Austin Davis has put up decent stats so far this season which has earned him the starting job going forward. Still, Davis doesn’t have elite arm talent and now that there’s more film on him he will struggle against good defenses. The 49ers have a good defense. 49ers 24, Rams 13.

Last week: 9-5

In the NFL, it’s always better to admit a mistake than to compound it. For the Buccaneers, the decision to burn a 2016 second-round pick on kicker Robert Aguayo has proven to be a mistake. The Buccaneers made the definitive admission of their error on Saturday, cutting Aguayo. He exits with $428,000 in fully-guaranteed salary [more]

After the Buccaneers surprised everyone by taking a kicker with the 59th overall pick in the draft, G.M. Jason Licht explained the move by heaping superlatives on the player. “I was very excited along with my staff and coaches about Roberto for a very long time,” Licht told PFT Live in May 2016. “It’s not [more]

Only two days after losing Billy Winn for the year with a torn ACL, the Broncos are now sweating out another potentially serious injury along the defensive line.
