Jaguars’ Coach Says Trading for AP Not a Discussion

Despite recent reports, according to Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley, it doesn’t appear Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will be wearing the black and teal in 2015.

Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reported Monday that the Jaguars were one of six teams interested in trading for the All-Pro running back who has made it known he does not want to be in Minnesota next season.

Bradley shot down that rumor Tuesday during the Jaguars first day of the voluntary offseason conditioning program. When asked about the team’s interest Bradley responded “No, not really. Not between Dave [Caldwell] and I. I may have a while ago but that was just conversation not any direction that we would go.”

The Jaguars currently have four running backs on the roster including Toby Gerhart, Denard Robinson, Storm Johnson and Bernard Pierce, who the Jaguars claimed off waivers from Baltimore, March 19. Robinson led the Jaguars with 582 rushing yards in 2014.
