This past season, the Dallas Cowboys surprised football fans everywhere after winning the NFC East with a record of (13-3). A major part of their success had to do with the play of Ezekiel Elliott, who led the league in rushing.

Former Cowboys great Herschel Walker was presented with the Doak Walker Legacy Award over the weekend, but he took the time to discuss the newest Cowboy running back.

“I love Zeke. I love his fire and the way he plays,” Walker said. “Elliott loves to play football. It’s amazing that he’s carrying the ball 30-some times a day. People don’t know, that’s tough. And the guy comes back the next week and does the same thing and loves it. I was shocked that he’s had the speed that he’s had.”

With teams having film on Elliott, it’ll be interesting to see how he adjust in year two.
