Instead of selecting who we believe will win Super Bowl LI in Houston (with roughly a 97 percent chance of being wrong), we’re going to go over why each team won’t take home the Lombardi (we will only be wrong once).

We’re going to start with the team with the longest odds which are the Cleveland Browns.

What is the biggest reason why the Browns won’t win the Super Bowl? They’re the Browns.

It sounds like a shot, but the most ardent Browns fans know this as much as anyone.  They have a losing culture and no matter what they do to change it, it seems like it permeates through on to the field on a given Sunday.

What are some other real questions why they won’t win? 

Who is the Browns quarterback?  Are we really depending on Robert Griffin, III to not only stay healthy, but lead Cleveland into the playoffs and to a lengthy run?  Its highly unlikely.  If not RG3, Josh McCown?  Cody Kessler?  Austin Davis?  Connor Shaw?

Skill position players?  We know that Josh Gordon can play…but….he’s suspended.  Duke Johnson? Corey Coleman?  Terrelle Pryor?  Tight end Gary Barnidge is the best semi-skill position player that can be counted on for 2016.  Those are not the makings of a Super Bowl champ.

The offensive line should be a strength, but even they lost right tackle Mitchell Schwartz in free agency.  As for the defense, they have no legitimate pass rushers that can be counted on and they will need last year’s duo of first-round picks, Danny Shelton and Cameron Erving to step their proverbial games up in a major way.

What would be a productive season for the Browns? 

Realistically, if Cleveland won seven games it would be a major step in the right direction in Hue Jackson’s first year.  Which seven games will the Browns have their best chances to win?

Week 1 @ Philadelphia-  The Eagles have experienced a huge roster turnaround and it will likely take them a while to find some continuity, especially when they have a quarterback controversy brewing.

Week 2 vs. Baltimore- The Ravens were a mess last season and Cleveland could actually be favored in this matchup.

Week 6 at Tennessee- The Titans had one of the worst rosters in the NFL last season and although they made some improvements, they very well could be winless entering the machup.

Week 9 vs. Dallas- If Tony Romo doesn’t play, the Cowboys have proven that they struggle to beat anyone in the NFL.  Who knows whether or not he’ll be healthy.

Week 10 at Baltimore- If you take Joe Flacco out of the mix, the Ravens roster isn’t that much different than the Browns.

Week 12 vs. New York Giants- The Giants were one of the worst teams in football last season and although they spent a ton of money in free agency, they still have major questions on their offensive line and at the skill positions outside of Odell Beckham, Jr.

Week 16 vs. San Diego- The Chargers will be going across three time zones and likely into a major weather change.  San Diego has a 2-7 December record over the past two seasons and they may have nothing to play for.
