Last week was another tough one as our crystal ball appears to be a bit foggy this season.  We’ll dust it off yet again and see what happens as we pick each NFL game.

San Francisco vs. Buffalo

The 49ers are finally playing the correct quarterback, but the rest of the roster is still pretty awful.  They have to travel across three time zones to play a red hot Bills team.  Bills 23, 49ers 20. 

Philadelphia vs. Washington

The Eagles play their first game without right tackle Lane Johnson where the Redskins will be without both Josh Norman and Jordan Reed.  It’s crazy that we like a rookie quarterback to make fewer mistakes on the road than the QB that Washington franchised, but that is indeed the case.  E-A-G-L-E-S…Eagles 27, Redskins 20. 

Cleveland vs. Tennessee

The Browns might end up having to play Kevin Hogan at quarterback this week.  The Titans have one of the best offensive lines in football.  Tennessee will look good for a second straight week.  Titans 20, Browns 10. 

Baltimore vs. N.Y. Giants

This might be oversimplifying a bit, but the Ravens seem to be a better football team than the Giants.  Neither has played well lately, but coaching matters.  Ravens 24, Giants 20. 

Carolina vs. New Orleans

If the Panthers are going to save their season it has to come on Sunday.  The Saints defense is terrible and Cam Newton is back.  Panthers 28, Saints 17.

Jacksonville vs. Chicago

The Jaguars have had two weeks to prepare for the Bears, an easy team to prepare for.  The Bears aren’t particularly good, but the Jags find ways to lose games.  Bears 24, Jags 20. 

Los Angeles vs. Detroit

The Rams are above .500 with smoke, mirrors and Jeff Fisher’s mustache.  The Lions have had some tough breaks to get to 2-3.  Neither is a playoff team, but Detroit is at home.  Lions 23, Rams 19. 

Pittsburgh vs. Miami

Ben Roethlisberger versus the Dolphins secondary.  Big fantasy day for all.  Steelers 34, Dolphins 17. 

Cincinnati vs. New England

The Bengals will show up in this game and play New England tough.  With that said, it’s Tom Brady and Bill Belichick against Andy Dalton and Marvin Lewis.  Pats 24, Bengals 20. 

Kansas City vs. Oakland

It’s time for the Raiders to beat a good team.  This would certainly qualify.  Still, the Chiefs have had an extra week of preparation and have a better roster.  Chiefs 27, Raiders 24. 

Atlanta vs. Seattle

The Falcons are off to a great start for the second straight year and they’ve actually defeated some very good teams along the way.  Seattle is an entirely different animal.  It would be a good showing if Atlanta kept it close.  Seahawks 34, Falcons 23. 

Dallas vs. Green Bay

A great running game versus a great run defense.  The matchup on the other side of the ball is the best quarterback in the world against a mediocre defense.  Packers 31, Cowboys 20. 

Indianapolis vs. Houston

A great quarterback with a terrible roster versus a very good roster with a bad quarterback.  I’ll take the quarterback.  Colts 28, Texans 24. 

N.Y. Jets vs. Arizona

Both teams have been disappointing, but Carson Palmer is back for Arizona, and he’s playing at home.  Cards 31, Jets 17.
