Our prognostication skils improved in Week 3 as we are beginning to define who are the “have’s” and “have-not’s” in the 2016 NFL season.  We look to improve upon that knowledge in Week 4.

Indianapolis vs. Jacksonville

Things are really bad right now in Jacksonville and last week’s loss was a low point in the Gus Bradley era.  They know the pressure they face to win and that’s tough on a young team.  The Colts are feeling good after winning their first game of the season and you have to like Andrew Luck more than Blake Bortles right now.  Colts 27, Jaguars 17.

Tennessee vs. Houston

The Titans were inept on offense last week, but not nearly as inept as the Texans, who couldn’t score a single point (treated it like a playoff game).  Houston has the better roster, even without J.J. Watt, and they should find a way to get the “W” at home.  Texans 17, Titans 13. 

Cleveland vs. Washington

Another week, another distraction for the Browns as Josh Gordon had to leave the team and enter a rehabilitation facility.  New broke shortly after that the team was going to relieve him of his duties.  That won’t help going into a game on the road against the NFC East champs.  Redskins 38, Browns 13. 

Seattle vs. New York Jets

The Seahawks haven’t hit their full stride yet this season, but they are still 2-1.  The Jets looked atrocious last week and are desperate for a win.  What goes up, must come down.  Jets 23, Seahawks 21. 

Buffalo vs. New England

Jimmy Garoppolo is back and the NFL is in trouble.  For at least this one game.  Pats 31, Bills 23. 

Carolina vs. Atlanta

Are the 2-1 Atlanta Falcons for real?  If they beat the defending NFC champs at home they can prove that they are, at least for the first quarter of the season.  Panthers 24, Falcons 21. 

Oakland vs. Baltimore

The Ravens are about as soft of a 3-0 as it gets with close wins over Buffalo, Cleveland and Jacksonville. Oakland has played well on the road this year and they will continue to do so.  Raiders 20, Ravens 17.

Detroit vs. Chicago

Matt Stafford is quietly playing great football and the Bears don’t have an offense that can expose the Lions weaknesses in the secondary.  Lions 27, Bears 20. 

Denver vs. Tampa Bay

The champs are 3-0 and Trevor Siemian is looking like a functional quarterback.  The Bucs desperately need to change their losing culture and dropping to 1-3 would put them behind the proverbial 8-ball.  Upset special!!! Bucs 24, Broncos 20. 

Los Angeles vs. Arizona

The Cardinals were a mess last week in their loss to Buffalo.  The defense is not looking particularly good and neither is Carson Palmer.  It’s time all of that gets turned around against a Rams team with Case Keenum at quarterback.  Cards 31, Rams 16. 

New Orleans vs. San Diego

Both teams have been ravaged by injuries and both are desperate for a win.  Philip Rivers will slice and dice that Saints defense all afternoon long.  Chargers 31, Saints 24. 

Dallas vs. San Francisco

Even without Dez Bryant, the Cowboys have a much better roster than the 49ers, as well as a much better quarterback in Dak Prescott (over Blaine Gabbert).  It will be close, but Dak wil get the job done.  ‘Boys 24, Niners 20.

Kansas City vs. Pittsburgh

This looks like the best matchup of the week on paper and the Chiefs should have Jamaal Charles ready to go for the first time this season.  Unfortunately for them, Le’Veon Bell is back from his suspension. Steelers 38, Chiefs 27. 

New York Giants vs. Minnesota

The Vikings are a better team with a better defense than the Giants.  So why do we get this sneaky feeling that Eli Manning is going to play a great game?  Call it a hunch, call it an upset.  Giants 27, Vikings 21.
