Russell Wilson: “I Feel Really Good Right Now”

Find out if Russell Wilson still feels really fast.

For the betterment of the 2016 regular season, Seattle Seahawks All-Pro quarterback Russell Wilson wasn’t the same guy we all grew accustomed to. Due to a high ankle sprain and sprained knee, Wilson’s mobility was very limited, to say the least.

Wilson only ran the ball 72 times for 259 yards, which are both career lows by a wide margin. As Seattle prepares to host Detroit this weekend, Wilson was asked about his health.

“I’ve had some bumps and bruises along the way,” Wilson said Wednesday. “But I feel really good. I feel like any play I need to make I can make, for sure. So that’s the exciting part. So I still feel really fast and all that.

“If you asked me several weeks ago, you know, I wasn’t moving my fastest. But I feel really good right now.”

While it sounds good, offensive coordinator Darrel Bevell doesn’t appear to be buying it.

“I don’t know. I’m not sure,” Bevell stated.

“I don’t know if he’s a hundred percent. He’s probably not running 4.4, like he was coming out of the combine. But, obviously, he still runs well enough to be able to do the things that we need him to do.”

With Wilson claiming to feel really good, it’ll be quite interesting to see if Bevell gives him more opportunities to make plays outside of the pocket.
