Now that each of Week 4’s games have been played, we will take a look back and give some news and nuggets on each team.

Jacksonville 30, Indianapolis 27

The Jaguars needed a win badly and got just that.  Blake Bortles looked better, but he still looks unsure in the pocket.  Myles Jack should continue to be the starter at the “Otto” position…..It’s Andrew Luck and a bunch of junk.  Ryan Grigson is the worst general manager in the NFL.

Houston 27, Tennessee 20

Brock Osweiler continues to turn the football over too much.  Houston needs to be a run-first team despite Will Fuller’s emergence….Marcus Mariota is regressing before our eyes.  The league has adjusted to him and now he needs to make the next adjustment.

Washington 31, Cleveland 20

The Redskins have a new lease on life after two straight wins.  The NFC East is completely up for grabs….Cody Kessler has been surprisingly accurate, but his arm strength limitation will likely keep him from being a full-time starter.

Seattle 27, New York Jets 17

Russell Wilson was tremendous on Sunday, as he’s been for most of the season when healthy.  Even when he isn’t great, the Seahawks defense will keep them in every game….The Jets are underachieving horribly on defense and Ryan Fitzpatrick has turned back into Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Buffalo 16, New England 0

Rex Ryan didn’t have to scheme against a real NFL quarterback so the Bills defense looked great.  Most defenses would have against Jacoby Brissett…..3-1 without Tom Brady is really all anyone could’ve hoped for.

Atlanta 48, Carolina 33

The Falcons offense is certainly for real and Matt Ryan has bounced back after a slow start.  Although this team is fun to watch, it’s not a formula for postseason success…..

Oakland 28, Baltimore 27

Jack Del Rio has the Raiders believing they are good, and that home loss to Atlanta doesn’t look so bad right now.  The good news is that there’s still plenty of room for improvement for Derek Carr….The Ravens are improved over last year, but lets pump the brakes on them being a legitimate contender.

Chicago 17, Detroit 14

Brian Hoyer played a really good game and as long as he continues to play well, Jay Cutler will find himself on the pine.  Unfortunately for the Bears, Hoyer isn’t capable of greatness and Cutler will get his job back by default….Matt Stafford turned the ball over twice against a pretty bad to mediocre Chicago defense.  Missed opportunity for the Lions.

Denver 27, Tampa Bay 7

Trevor Siemian hurt his shoulder and now the Broncos have a quarterback controversy….again.  The defense is playing at an all-time level….Jameis Winston continues to regress and everyone in Tampa should be wondering if it was the right move to promote Dirk Koetter for the sake of Winston.   

Los Angeles 17, Arizona 13

The turnaround that the Rams have made since their opening Monday loss to San Francisco has been truly incredible.  Jeff Fisher deserves a lot of credit for keeping that team together….The Cardinals are broken and it’s getting late early.  Carson Palmer isn’t playing at a high enough level.

New Orleans 35, San Diego 34

Another double-digit fourth quarter lead by the Chargers, another loss.  Although it came to a future Hall of Fame quarterback, it doesn’t look like it’s going to save Mike McCoy’s job…..The Saints can’t win consistently with that defense.

Dallas 24, San Francisco 17

The Cowboys MVP of this game was probably Blaine Gabbert.  Running back Ezekiel Elliot is coming into his own and Dallas has a simple formula for success…..The 49ers need a quarterback change.

Pittsburgh 43, Kansas City 14

This game wasn’t as close as the final score indicated.  Le’Veon Bell gives the Steelers yet another playmaker and the offensive line did a great job on Sunday night….The Chiefs will never be able to play catch up with Alex Smith at quarterback.

Minnesota 24, New York Giants 10

The Vikings defense is every bit as good as Denver’s, and they look pretty unbeatable at their new stadium.  Sam Bradford is doing enough in the passing game to win…..The Giants played reasonably well on defense, but the Vikes defense got into Odell Beckham’s head, and then Eli Manning’s.
