Jared Goff In Concussion Protocol Following Sherman Hit

Find out the status of Rams rookie quarterback Jared Goff.

It just his fifth professional start, top pick Jared Goff figured out that running out of bounds is his best option moving forward. Under heavy pressure throughout, Goff was simply just trying to make something happen, but then he met All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman.

“He will be OK but it’s probably not going to happen again,” interim head coach John Fassel stated. “He seemed OK, but he’s maybe tough enough to disguise (his condition).”

The hit by Sherman occurred in the fourth quarter, sending Goff to the locker room for the remainder of the game. Goff completed 13 of 25 passes for only 135 yards while getting sacked four times.

The former Cal product is currently under concussion protocol.
