Jacksonville Jaguars Add Intriguing 7th round Selection in WR Neal Sterling

Needy of offensive help, the Jaguars select a small-school WR with big-play potential

As the 2015 NFL Draft comes to a close in Chicago, there has been many interesting selections. Without question one pick I was ecstatic to see was the Jacksonville Jaguars taking Monmouth, mammoth wide receiver Neal Sterling.

Sterling is 6-foot-3 and 239 pounds, which makes for a massive target at receiver. He made his mark at the College Gridiron Showcase in a game that included several other big name players from big name schools, but it was Sterling who out-shined them all.

The Jaguars are desperate for playmakers on offense and although Sterling is a late-round pick, Jacksonville could have a place for Sterling on the current roster. Second-year quarterback Blake Bortles might find the large catching radius of Sterling a positive as red zone target.
