The season is almost halfway over and it’s time to recognize those players for their accomplishments on both sides of the football.  Without any further ado, here is our All-Pro Team.

Quarterback- Tom Brady, New England Patriots

This is a no-brainer.  Brady has thrown 20 touchdowns to just one interception and has led his team to a perfect 7-0 record.  He keeps getting better with age and he’s playing the quarterback position at a level that few have ever done it at.

Running backs- Devonta Freeman, Atlanta Falcons; Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings

Devonta Freeman is one of the biggest surprises in football as even the Falcons didn’t know what they had on the roster (or else they likely wouldn’t have selected Tevin Coleman).  Freeman leads the NFL in rushing with 709 yards in eight games with 10 touchdowns.

Adrian Peterson is third in the NFL in rushing with 633 yards with three touchdowns.  Although Chris Johnson has more yards, Peterson is the main weapon on a pretty bad offense in Minnesota.  He routinely faces eight-man fronts and is carrying the Vikings to a 5-2 record.

Wide receivers- Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons; DeAndre Hopkins, Houston Texans

Julio Jones was garnering MVP consideration over the first month of the season as he is the most dominant receiver in football.  He has 70 receptions for 892 touchdowns with six touchdowns on the season.  Jones has torched every cornerback that’s lined up against him and is a main reason why the Falcons are 6-2.

DeAndre Hopkins has been the most impressive receiver in the AFC while playing with a revolving door at quarterback and dysfunction everywhere around him.  Hopkins has feasted by being the No. 1 target in Houston and he has caught 66 passes for 870 yards with six touchdowns.

Tight end- Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots

Gronk was probably the easiest selection for the team as he has been the most dominant player at his position since coming into the NFL in 2011.  He has 40 receptions for 643 yards and seven touchdowns in seven games this season.  Gronk is not only an excellent pass-catching tight end, but also the best blocker at the position.

Offensive tackles- Tyron Smith, Dallas Cowboys; Jared Veldheer, Arizona Cardinals

Smith hasn’t experienced a lot of team success with Tony Romo out, but he maintains his post as one of the very best left tackles in the game.  Smith anchors what was the best line in the NFL last season and is still doing a great job this season.

Veldheer is one of the most underrated tackles in football and is an unsung hero on the Cards explosive offense.  His main job is to keep Carson Palmer healthy and he’s done that up to this point in 2015.

Offensive guards- Zach Martin, Dallas Cowboys; Marshal Yanda, Baltimore Ravens

Martin has done a great job on the interior of the Dallas line, as he has helped the team maintain the sixth-ranked rushing offense in football despite having no semblance of a passing attack without quarterback Tony Romo.

Yanda has been one of the best guards in football for years and he’s still been very good, despite having just about everything go wrong this season in Baltimore.  The ninth-year pro has shown no signs of slowing down.

Center- Nick Mangold, New York Jets

Mangold has missed one game this season but when healthy, he’s been the very best center in the game.  Mangold leads an offensive line which has allowed a league-low seven sacks and is seventh in the NFL in rushing.
