The Miami Dolphins selected former Louisville Cardinals wide receiver DeVante Parker with the 14th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. During Parker’s collegiate career, he totaled 156 catches for 2,775 yards and 33 touchdowns.

“With Todd Gurley already off the board, the Miami Dolphins decided to help out Ryan Tannehill with a real playmaker in DeVante Parker. Parker won’t have the usual pressure of a first-round pick as the Dolphins signed Greg Jennings in free agency and traded for Kenny Stills, not to mention tight end Jordan Cameron. “The Dolphins have to be thrilled to see a receiver of DeVante Parker’s caliber drop to No. 14 overall. In many other drafts, Parker would have been the best receiver on the board, simply for his blend of size and ability to make difficult catches due to his elite hands. He doesn’t have the speed to get separation from every corner, but he’ll make all the catches in traffic and break away from tacklers for extra yards.
