With Christmas a week away, Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee displayed great holiday spirit by surprising 115 residents of the Indianapolis area. Similar to last year, McAfee helped pay the bills.

58-year-old Valerie Moore told her story.

“All I could do was throw my hands up in the air and just give her the bill,” said Moore.

If Moore didn’t pay her bill, the lights in her home were set to be disconnected by Dec. 27.

“Money is super tight. Gas bill, light bill, rent, car, food, it’s real tight,” explained Moore.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget there are people out there who aren’t as fortunate as you and for that alone, we should all be grateful for what we have.

“I don’t have a tree up, do you see any Christmas? There was no Christmas planning here. I didn’t plan for Christmas. I’ve been telling people I pay my bills, keep a roof over our heads. I don’t have money for Christmas, I just don’t,” Moore stressed.

“So whoever you are God Bless you, God bless you and thank you ever so much for blessing us,” said Moore.

Words truly can’t explain how awesome of a gesture this is from McAfee. This is what its all about.
