Before the season much wasn’t expected out of the San Francisco 49ers. On paper, this team was the least talented bunch in all of football. Nonetheless, no one expected it to be this bad. After winning the season opener, the Niner haven’t won a game since.

While there’s plenty of blame to go around, general manager Trent Baalke wants you to look no further than him.

“Funding has never been an issue at the free-agent market, or any other thing that we’ve needed. So, it falls strictly on my shoulders. I’m disappointed, I’m disappointed with the outcome up until now.”

“I feel bad for the fans. I feel bad for a lot of people, the ownership in particular,” Baalke said. “You know, they give us everything we need, and I’ve said that. I’ve gone public with that. If we don’t get it done, put it on me. We’ve got all the resources necessary.

San Francisco’s most notable free-agent signings this off-season were left guard Zane Beadles and backup signal-caller, Thad Lewis.
