The 2015 NFL draft has come and gone; therefore, it is time to analyze each pick with excruciating detail. As is the case every year, there are picks that are perceived as bad fits and others that are perceived as good fits. With that in mind, let’s take a look a couple of the picks that look to be good fits and some that appear to be bad fits.

Good Fits

Randy Gregory – Dallas Cowboys

Randy Gregory was a top-10 talent in this draft and the Cowboys were able to select him at pick No. 60. Gregory should be able to fit in as a left defensive end for the Cowboys, who comes in a lot as a situational pass-rusher. Gregory has the most upside of any edge-rusher in the class and if he can tap into his potential he will be one of the steals of the draft.

Eric Kendricks – Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings always seem to have a great player fall into their lap on draft day. Two years ago, it was Shariff Floyd, last year it was Anthony Barr and this year it is Eric Kendricks. The Vikings had a need at inside linebacker and Kendricks will be able to fill that hole extremely well. Kendricks is a run and hit linebacker who is fantastic in coverage. He has an incredible instincts and he will rack up tackles for the Vikings for years to come.

Maxx Williams- Baltimore Ravens

Arguably the Ravens biggest need was at tight end and they came away from the 2015 NFL draft with arguably the best tight end in the class. Williams isn’t a quick-twitch player, but he is a smooth athlete who makes tough catches in traffic. He is improving as a blocker and he should be able to be utilized in a myriad of ways on the Ravens offense.

Bad Fits

Mario Edwards Jr. – Oakland Raiders

Mario Edwards Jr. may be the enigma of this draft class. Two years ago, he was a fantastic defensive end who appeared to be on the precipice of a top-15 pick.  Nevertheless, he put on a bunch of bad weight and had an awful year last year. The success on this pick will depend on Edwards Jr. and how hard he works; however, and early second-round pick seems a little early to gamble on that type of player.

Mitch Morse – Kansas City Chiefs

Mitch Morse isn’t technically a bad fit with the Chiefs, but he was a huge reach in the second round. Morse could slide in and compete for the Chiefs’ starting center job, but there were much better options still on the board. Morse is a player who has some flexibility and technical issues that are only going to exacerbate themselves inside. The Chiefs may end up kicking themselves in a few years for this pick.

Markus Golden – Arizona Cardinals

One of the most puzzling picks in the second round was Markus Golden to the Cardinals. Golden is a player who is good at everything but not great at anything. He is never going to lead the team in sacks or tackles, but he will be just solid. For a second-round pick, that just doesn’t cut it. The Cardinals needed a player who could become a dynamic pass-rusher and Golden just isn’t that. The Cardinals would have been better off going with a player such as Eli Harold or Randy Gregory.
