New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will be fined approximately $9,000 for throwing a punch during Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills, ESPN reported Wednesday.

The NFL is not expected to announce any punitive action or fine until Friday.

Beckham did not receive a penalty during the game for directing a punch at the helmet of Bills safety Duke Williams on Sunday after an interception return in the fourth quarter.

Bills linebacker Preston Brown accused Beckham of throwing a punch and Bills cornerback Stephon Gilmore told The Buffalo News that Beckham is “a prima donna.”

Beckham apparently spoke with Giants coach Tom Coughlin on Wednesday about the incident.

“He’s very competitive, very energetic,” Coughlin said.
