LANDOVER, Md. – DeSean Jackson made no attempt to hide the satisfaction he gained in helping the Washington Redskins put his former team on the brink of playoff elimination Saturday.

Jackson caught four passes for 126 yards in the 27-24 victory over Philadelphia, which all but eliminated the 9-6 Eagles from the NFC playoff picture.

Jackson, who caught passes of 51 and 55 yards, was cut by the Eagles in a controversial move in March.

“DeSean is about to eat this up,” Eagles outside linebacker Brandon Graham predicted after the game.

That he did, as Jackson said he was not surprised the Eagles left him in single coverage, including two more long completions against embattled Eagles cornerback Bradley Fletcher.

“That’s how they play,” Jackson said, per ESPN. “They’re very naive and they play how they play, so they (can’t) care less who’s out there or who’s at wide receiver. They don’t care. That’s the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense. I’ve been there a lot of years and witnessed a lot of players, wide receivers, tight ends get off some huge games on them. I’m just happy to be on that side and send them home with a loss.”

Jackson has caught 54 passes for 1,083 yards and five touchdowns in 14 games this season, and danced into the post-game locker room. He hauled in nine receptions for 243 yards and a touchdown in the two meetings against his former team.

“It was very special for myself being there last year and with everything that happened,” said Jackson. “I’m just happy to be on this side and send them home with a loss.”
