No surgery for Broncos’ RB Ball
Denver Broncos running back Montee Ball will not need surgery to repair the strained groin he suffered Sunday during a noncontact play against the Arizona Cardinals.
But he will miss several weeks, the Denver Post reported.
Ball was injured in the third quarter and finished the game with seven yards on six carries. He had stayed in to help protect quarterback Peyton Manning on a pass play. When he released and headed out to give Manning another option, Ball planted and slipped.
He left the field after the game on crutches.
