Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray was a full practice participant on Thursday as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.

Murray missed last Sunday’s game against the New York Jets due to the ailment. Coach Chip Kelly is hopeful of having his services for this Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins.

“DeMarco was limited, but did some things. So we’ll see where he is,” Kelly told reporters. “DeMarco wants to go every week, every day. He’s a highly competitive player who wants to be there.”

Murray experienced a rough start with the Eagles with just 11 yards on 21 carries through the first two games. He led the NFL with 1,845 rushing yards last season as a member of the Dallas Cowboys.

Murray signed with Philadelphia in the offseason as a free agent.
