PHILADELPHIA — Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said Wednesday that reports that he was contacted by anyone from the University of Florida about their vacant head-coaching job were false.

“It was a rumor, it wasn’t the truth,” he said. “I think things that are false are silly.”

Kelly said he is very happy coaching the Eagles and isn’t interested in leaving to go back to college.

“Our whole mantra here is, ‘Be where your feet are,”‘ he said. “And my feet are right here and that’s all we ever talk about. I can’t control what other people think or other people write. I’ve never been concerned with it, never will be concerned with it.”
