PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles have dodged a quarterback controversy for at least another week.

Coach Chip Kelly said Monday that Nick Foles’ fractured collarbone still hasn’t fully healed and he will not be cleared to play in Saturday’s game against the Washington Redskins.

Foles missed his sixth consecutive game Sunday night, a 38-27 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Foles was examined and had an X-Ray Monday morning and it was determined that that bone still has not completely mended.

“Nick is not healed,” Kelly said. “He’s out this week. The bone has not healed, so he will be out. We’ll move forward without him.”

Kelly said Foles will be able to throw a little more on the side this week, but can’t have any contact.

With Foles still not ready, Mark Sanchez will make his seventh straight start against the Redskins in a game the Eagles have to win to keep alive any hope of making the playoffs.

Sanchez completed just 17 of 28 passes for 252 yards and no touchdowns and had two more interceptions Sunday night. He now has thrown nine interceptions in 225 attempts. He is 31st in the league in interception percentage. He also has lost two fumbles.

“Like most people, I saw good and bad (with Sanchez),” Kelly said. “The throw to (Jeremy) Maclin (a 72-yard catch and run) was a real big-time throw. There were a couple of other nice throws on the sideline that I thought he made. But there were others, the throw to (Zach) Ertz that he missed, the throw to (Brent) Celek that he missed.”

Asked if Sanchez has played well enough to win in the Eagles’ back-to-back losses to the Cowboys and Seahawks the last two weeks, Kelly said, “I think so. I think overall, the entire team, there’s been good and bad at every position. We have to be more consistent overall.”

NOTES: LB Trent Cole injured his hand in Sunday night’s loss to the Cowboys. Kelly had no update on his condition Monday. … CB Bradley Fletcher, who got beat for three touchdowns by the Cowboys’ Dez Bryant on Sunday, will remain the starter, Kelly said Monday.

REPORT CARD VS. COWBOYS

PASSING OFFENSE: C-minus – Mark Sanchez was inconsistent again and turnover-prone again, throwing two more interceptions. That gives him nine in 225 attempts. He overthrew open receivers on several occasions. One of the few bright spots in the passing game was a 72-yard catch and run by Jeremy Maclin that set up an Eagles touchdown.

RUSHING OFFENSE: C-minus – LeSean McCoy, who rushed for a season-high 159 yards against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, was held to 64 yards on 16 carries in Sunday’s loss. The Eagles did have three rushing touchdowns – two by Chris Polk and one by Darren Sproles.

PASS DEFENSE: F – Bradley Fletcher had one of the worst performances of his career, giving up three touchdown passes to Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant. The Eagles doubled Bryant early, but Tony Romo went to tight end Jason Witten. When they started doubling Witten, Romo attacked Fletcher.

RUN DEFENSE: B-plus – For the second time in 17 days, the Eagles neutralized DeMarco Murray, the league’s rushing leader. They held Murray to 81 yards on 31 carries. Murray did have a 21-yard run and a couple of short touchdown runs, but aside from that, he was held in check.

SPECIAL TEAMS: C – The Eagles had a major gaffe on the opening kickoff when return man Josh Huff and upback Brad Smith let a Dan Bailey kick drop between them. It was recovered by the Cowboys at the Philadelphia 18. Cody Parkey booted two field goals and punter Donnie Jones had a 52.3-yard net average on three kicks.

COACHING: C-minus — Defensive coordinator Bill Davis had no answers for stopping Romo and the Cowboys’ passing game. He left Fletcher one-on-one on Bryant several times, and Fletcher got burned for three touchdowns. Kelly’s offense continued to turn the ball over.
