Chiefs agree to re-sign S Parker

The Kansas City Chiefs agreed to re-sign safety Ron Parker to a five-year deal, according to reports Saturday.

The deal is worth $30 million, the Kansas City Star reported.

Parker entered the NFL in 2011 as an undrafted free agent out of Newberry College and bounced around the league with the Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers before landing in Kansas City.

Parker, 27, spent the previous two years with the Chiefs and started 15 of the 16 games last season. He totaled 94 tackles, 12 pass deflections, one interception and one forced fumble.
