Outside linebacker Quanterus Smith was waived by the Denver Broncos.

Smith appeared in 15 regular-season games for the Broncos during his first two NFL seasons. He was selected by the club in the fifth round (146th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft from Western Kentucky University.

After spending his rookie season on injured reserve recovering from a college knee injury, Smith played 15 of 16 regular-season games for Denver in 2014, contributing 11 tackles (seven solo) and two passes defensed.

The Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2012, Smith totaled 24 sacks and 41 tackles for a loss during his four-year career for the Hilltoppers.
