Vikings Waive Ronnie Hillman

The Minnesota Vikings waived running back Ronnie Hillman on Monday, just a few weeks after signing him.  The team has been searching for a running game ever since Adrian Peterson went down early in the season.

Hillman ran the ball just 18 times for 50 yards in three games with Minnesota.

It doesn’t bode well for the former San Diego State star that he was let go from the worst running team in the NFL, as the Vikings average just 70 yards rushing per game.

With the extra roster spot, Minnesota signed rookie defensive end Stephen Weatherly from the team’s practice squad.
