Patriots DE Easley heading to IR

The New England Patriots are expected to place defensive end Dominique Easley on season-ending injured reserve with a knee issue, according to reports Wednesday.

Easley, the 29th overall pick in this year’s draft, has just 10 tackles, one sack and one interception in 11 games (two starts) this season.

Knee injuries caused the 6-foot-2, 290-pound Easley to drop in the draft. He tore both ACLs during his college career at Florida, and knee soreness continued to bother him in his rookie season.
