OAKLAND, Calif. — New York Jets starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick injured his left thumb with 11:06 left in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders and left the game.

The right-handed Fitzpatrick injured his thumb while being tackled by Raiders safety Charles Woodson at the end of a 14-yard scramble.

Geno Smith replaced Fitzpatrick.

Fitzpatrick had his thumb taped and remained on the sideline, but it’s questionable whether he will return to the game.
