Jaguars RB Robinson done for season

on

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Denard Robinson will miss the rest of the season with a sprained foot, the team announced Wednesday.

Robinson was injured against the Houston Texans on Sunday. The converted college quarterback, in his second year out of Michigan, led the Jaguars with 582 rushing yards (4.3 average) and four touchdowns. He also caught 23 passes for 124 yards as he took the lead role from free-agent addition Toby Gerhart.

Gerhart, who signed a three-year, $10.5 million contract in March, will get a chance to prove his value in the final three games. Storm Johnson and Jordan Todman also could get more playing time.

The Jaguars (2-11) play at Baltimore (8-5) on Sunday.
