Clowney: ‘I Can Dominate This League’

As he cleaned out his locker at NRG Stadium this morning, outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney made a vow. “I’m going to come back and dominate the league,” he said. “I know what I can do. I think I’m going to come back and dominate the league next year.” Clowney didn’t play in Saturday’s 30-0 loss to Kansas City in an AFC Wild Card Game because of a foot injury that plagued him near the end of the season. There was a pregame report that he left the team because he was angry he was inactive. Clowney disputed the report. “I knew I wasn’t going to play,” he said. “I didn’t walk out on anybody. I was mad I wasn’t out there. I didn’t get frustrated because they didn’t (activate him). I got frustrated because I couldn’t play.”
