Bruce Arians Blasts CB Justin Bethel

After reaching the NFC Championship game last year against the Carolina Panthers, the Arizona Cardinals have been one of the league’s biggest disappointments this season. With a record of (5-7-1), Bruce Arian’s squad will likely miss the postseason for the first time since 2013.

One of Arizona’s toughest transitions has been moving special teams specialist Justin Bethel to cornerback. Around this last year, fellow defensive back Tyrann Mathieu offered high praise to Bethel.

“I told you a number of times how I feel about (Bethel). Athletically, I feel like he’s just as gifted as Pat (Peterson),” Mathieu stressed.

However, Bethel hasn’t been able to live up to those standards.

When Arian’s was asked about Bethel’s transition period, he kept it very blunt as usual.

“It’s a failure in progress,” Arians said of Bethel.

Well, thanks for telling us how you really feel.
