Week 3 NFL Picks

on

Arizona vs. Buffalo

The Cardinals were superb last week and now they have to travel across the country to play a desperate Buffalo Bills team.  On paper it should be a blowout, but we’re expecting a fourth quarter game.  Cardinals 24, Bills 22.

Oakland vs. Tennessee

Who are the Oakland Raiders?  Are they the team that went into New Orleans and beat the great Drew Brees, or are they the team that lost at home to the lowly Atlanta Falcons?  We think the former.  Raiders 31, Titans 20.

Cleveland vs. Miami

Cody Kessler is starting for the Browns.  That’s all I need to know.  Dolphins 38, Browns 6.

Baltimore vs. Jacksonville

So I think the Jaguars have a better roster, but Gus Bradley is 12-38 as head coach.  So if I were to pick against the Jags every week during the Bradley era I would have been correct nearly 75 percent of the time.  Go with math. Ravens 22, Jags 20.

Detroit vs. Green Bay

There seems to be something missing with the Packers, but the Lions secondary is a unit for a great quarterback like Aaron Rodgers to get right against.  Packers 38, Lions 31.

Denver vs. Cincinnati

Trevor Siemian and the best defense in the NFL take on Andy Dalton and the best roster.  This is a playoff type of game and we don’t trust Dalton and Marvin Lewis in those games.  Broncos 20, Bengals 19.

Minnesota vs. Carolina

This will be another great litmus test to see if the Vikings are for real as they travel to Charlotte to take on the defending NFC champs.  They will play them tight.  Panthers 20, Vikings 17.

Washington vs. New York Giants

The Giants defense has been ultra impressive over the first two weeks, but the Redskins are desperate.  ‘Skins 27, Giants 24.

Los Angeles vs. Tampa Bay

The Bucs are better and playing at home.  Let’s not overthink this.  Bucs 31, Rams 17.

San Francisco vs. Seattle

Russell Wilson is nursing an injured ankle and the 49ers defense was really good in Week 1.  This will be closer than some think.  Seahawks 20, 49ers 13.

New York Jets vs. Kansas City

This is a huge game for both teams as both will be in the Wildcard hunt.  The Jets have a better roster, but the Chiefs are at home.  Jets 24, Chiefs 23.

San Diego vs. Indianapolis

Two bad rosters with two really good quarterbacks.  Mike McCoy is a better coach, but the Colts are more desperate.  Colts 31, Chargers 23.

Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia

It’s time for Carson Wentz to come back to Earth.  Steelers 31, Eagles 20.

Chicago vs. Dallas

Dak Prescott is getting better each week and the Bears will lose to a rookie quarterback for the second straight week.  Cowboys 27, Bears 17.

Atlanta vs. New Orleans

The Falcons put together an impressive performance last week on the road at Oakland.  What goes up, must come down.  Saints 34, Falcons 27.

Last week: 6-9

Season: 13-17
