Sean Payton Not Concerned About Cooks’ Frustration

After the New Orleans Saints 49-21 blowout victory over the Los Angeles Rams, you’d think everyone representing the black and gold would be happy, right?

Well, that’s reportedly not the case after all. Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks was allegedly frustrated that he wasn’t targeted in the rout, which led Cooks to post a cryptic message on social media.

“I guess I have to turn into a businessman,” Cooks stated.

When asked if he’s worried about Cooks’ frustration, head coach Sean Payton had this to say.

“I’m not concerned,” Payton said. “It’s a little unusual that we have a game where all of a sudden he’s not targeted, but the first play of the game is supposed to be his play, and we don’t get the right coverage look. We’ll keep working it and finding those opportunities for him to get those touches.”

Cooks has 51 catches for 736 yards to go along with six touchdowns on the season.
