Following one of the worst seasons in franchise history, San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York decided to fire both head coach Chip Kelly and general manager Trent Baalke. Ironically, it could’ve been Baalke’s decision during the draft that cost them their jobs.
According to Mike Garafolo, Chip Kelly wanted to draft Dak Prescott, but Baalke had the final say so and he rejected the idea.
According to @MikeGarafolo, Chip Kelly and others in the 49ers building wanted Dak Prescott in the draft but Baalke didn't draft him. Wow.

Who knows if Prescott would’ve been efficient in San Francisco. Nonetheless, this is an interesting story.
