Redskins’ GM ‘Excited’ to See RGIII Back on Field

Now that free agency and the draft are in the rearview, Redskins General Manager Scot McCloughan is eager to check the next major item off his to-do list: picking a starting quarterback.

And from the sounds of it, Robert Griffin III will start with a comfortable lead on the competition as the team’s offseason program ramps up.

“I’m very, very excited about seeing him,” McCloughan said on ESPN 980’s The Sports Fix on Thursday. “[Getting] my eyes on him at practice and the preseason and going forward into games.”
