Rams Get Much Needed Help Up Front

The St. Louis Rams had arguably the most shocking pick in the first round, as they selected former Georgia running back Todd Gurley. While no one is questioning the talent Gurley possesses, the problem is St. Louis has no one to block for him.

Well, the Rams are heading in the right direction up front after selecting right tackle Rob Havenstein. The 6-foot-7, 321 pound prospect started in 42 of his 54 games played at Wisconsin.

Havenstein isn’t going to ‘wow’ you with his athleticism, but he tends to get the job done. Melvin Gordon, who almost broke Barry Sanders’ FBS single-season rushing record can thank Havenstein for opening gaping holes for him in 2014.
