Pittsburgh Steelers Add 5th Ohio State Buckeye to Roster

GM Kevin Colbert’s two most preferred conference’s to use the teams first and second round picks on are the Big Ten and ACC.  Pittsburgh’s first three picks came from the SEC and then he decided to go back to where his bread-and-butter is in the Big Ten by drafting Ohio State defensive back Doran Grant.

It was not a secret Pittsburgh was going to hit the secondary heavy even after drafting Mississippi cornerback Senquez Golson.  Grant is a physical cornerback who lacks elite athletic ability, but makes up for it with his attention to detail.

Pittsburgh possibly could add another defensive back with one of their four remaining picks that include two sixth round choices. The Steelers have spent three of their first four picks on defense. Do not be surprised if the trend continues and Pittsburgh keep hitting the defense with their last four picks.
