Patriots Trade For WR Brandin Cooks

Based on their activity last week, you couldn’t tell the New England Patriots are fresh off their fifth Super Bowl championship. Not only did the Pats trade for tight end Dwayne Allen and defensive end Kony Ealy, they also picked up former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks.

Late last season, Cooks complained about how he was being used in Sean Payton’s offense.

Despite his frustration, Cooks still totaled 78 catches for 1,1173 yards to go along with eight touchdowns in 2016. At the age of 23, Cooks’ best football is ahead of him, especially with Tom Brady throwing him the ball.
