GREEN BAY – Wis. – By improving to 4-0 for the first time since they started the 2011 season 13-0, the Packers are one of only six unbeaten teams in the NFL.

“This was a goal of ours,” veteran nose tackle B.J. Raji said. “We don’t really talk about it publicly, but this was our goal (before the season started). We call it a fast start, and we wanted to get off to a fast start and get (back) home. We have a few games at home, and then we get the bye. That was our goal.”

Green Bay joins the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers as the only 4-0 teams in the NFC. The AFC’s unbeaten teams are the Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos at 4-0 and the New England Patriots at 3-0.

The Packers, who have won 11 straight games at home, return to Lambeau Field on Sunday to play the St. Louis Rams. They remain home to face the San Diego Chargers on Oct. 18 before having the bye on the schedule in Week 7.

Notes: WR Davante Adams (ankle) was held out of the 17-3 win at the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The young starter aggravated a sprained left ankle six days earlier in the Packers’ victory over the Kansas City Chiefs and subsequently didn’t practice during the short week. Adams’ status for Sunday’s home game against the St. Louis Rams won’t be known until later in the week. … SS Morgan Burnett (calf) didn’t play for the second straight game Sunday. Burnett has been beset by the lingering leg injury, which also kept him from playing the season-opening win over the Chicago Bears. Micah Hyde again made the start in Burnett’s absence…. DT Letroy Guion made his belated season debut in Sunday’s road win against San Francisco. The veteran lineman missed the first three games because of a suspension for a violation of the NFL’s substance-abuse policy. … WR Jared Abbrederis was promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. However, Abbrederis didn’t get on the field in the victory over the 49ers on Sunday.
