After witnessing what the Atlanta Falcons did to the Green Bay Packers Sunday, you would’ve thought Atlanta was the team coming into Sunday with an eight-game winning streak.
With absolutely no answer for Matt Ryan and company, Green Bay allowed 44 points in the Georgia Dome finale. When trying to explain the blowout loss, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy kept it short and simple.
“We ran into a buzz saw,” Packers coach Mike McCarthy told reporters in the aftermath of his team’s 44-21 destruction in the Georgia Dome. “Those guys performed great. We didn’t have enough to keep up with them.”
McCarthy isn’t lying as the Packers found themselves down 31-0 before they could even blink.
