Mariota Listed as Day-to-Day with Grade 2 MCL Sprain

Marcus Mariota becomes the latest AFC quarterback to be felled by a sprained MCL. Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt confirmed Mariota suffered an MCL sprain in Tennessee’s 38-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. NFL Media’s Rand Getlin reported that it’s a Grade 2 sprain via sources briefed on the injury. Whisenhunt said Mariota’s status for Week 7 is unknown, adding that the rookie is “walking around fine.” The Titans are optimistic he will play Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, two team sources told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.
