Green Bay Packers tight end Andrew Quarless was placed on injured reserve with a designation to return, the team announced Wednesday.

Quarless was knocked out of Monday night’s game against Kansas City after a low hit by Chiefs defensive back Marcus Peters on a reception. Quarless suffered a sprained knee.

No surgery will not needed to repair the knee. Quarless will be eligible to return for a Thanksgiving game against the Chicago Bears.

Quarless’ two catches against the Chiefs were his first of the season.
