Based on his performance throughout the season, it would’ve been impossible to assume Julio Jones was playing hurt. Well, the former Alabama standout was in fact bruised up for the majority of the season.
With Super Bowl LI approaching, expect Jones to be used to his maximum potential, but following the game, don’t be surprised if the All-Pro receiver is forced to get surgery on his toe.
“It is what it is,” Jones said, “but a good week for anybody just relaxes the body and helps you get back to being healthy.”
In 14 regular-season games, Jones finished with 83 catches for 1,409 yards with six touchdowns.
