Julian Edelman Believes In Jimmy Garoppolo’s Ability

When Julian Edelman was selected with the 232nd overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, no one in their right mind would’ve predicted the 5-foot-10 slot receiver would be a two-time Super Bowl champion.

Well, that’s exactly what Edelman is after helping the New England Patriots complete the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history against the Atlanta Falcons. In a wide-ranging interview with NFL Media’s Oklahoma Series, Edelman hit on several topics, including backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

“He’s a confident guy, works hard. He’s handsome — that’s for sure. I don’t know how he’d [do] anywhere else, but from playing with him in some games in the regular season and practicing with him, I think he’s very good.”

As reported by several sources, the Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears are squads expressing interest in the 25-year-old Garoppolo.
