Giants LT Flowers (ankle) sidelined

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — New York Giants rookie left tackle Ereck Flowers was sidelined by an ankle injury in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.

The Giants announced Flowers is questionable to return. Justin Pugh moved over from left guard to replace Flowers, while reserve guard John Jerry filled in for Pugh.

Flowers, the Giants’ first-round selection, was listed as questionable to play Sunday after missing last week’s win over the Washington Redskins with an ankle injury he originally sustained in the season opener.
