Cowboys RB Dunbar lost to knee injury

The Sports Xchange

The Dallas Cowboys are bracing to learn that running back Lance Dunbar will be lost for the season with an ACL injury in his left knee.

Coach Jason Garrett said he believes that an MRI exam will confirm the initial evaluation. Dunbar was injured while returning a kickoff in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

Dunbar has been a valuable contributor this season in his fourth year with the Cowboys. He had 21 receptions while being the team’s third back behind Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden.
