Chiefs’ Stephenson exits due to leg injury

The Sports Xchange

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs left tackle Donald Stephenson walked off the field under his own power with 3:06 left in the third quarter Thursday night after his left leg was rolled up on by a Denver defender.

Stephenson was replaced by second-year tackle Eric Fisher, the No. 1 overall pick in 2013 who lost the job to Stephenson in training camp. Fisher was inactive last week at Houston.

On his second play at left tackle Thursday, Fisher allowed outside pressure to outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware, and the Chiefs subsequently punted back to the Broncos with the game tied at 17.
