San Diego Chargers receiver Keenan Allen will miss an unspecified amount of time after suffering a kidney injury in Sunday’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Allen suffered the injury while making an acrobatic 13-yard touchdown catch late in the first half. He departed the contest and didn’t return.

Allen’s condition reportedly worsened on the flight home and he was checked into a San Diego hospital.

“Keenan Allen has a kidney injury,” Chargers coach Mike McCoy said at Monday’s press conference. “As I learn more, we’ll give you more information on that, so he’ll miss some time.

“I’m not going to put a timetable on it as you guys know, and I don’t have enough information at this point in time, either. So we’re dealing with that and a number of things also.”

Allen has caught 67 passes for 725 yards and four touchdowns.
