Bucs sign DE Sidbury

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed defensive end Lawrence Sidbury to the active roster Wednesday.

The 6-foot-3, 269-pound Sidbury played in one game for Tampa Bay last season and spent the offseason and preseason with the Bucs. He was released during the final round of roster cuts. In his sixth NFL season, Sidbury has played in 49 games, recording 15 tackles, five tackles for loss, five sacks and one fumble recovery, along with three special teams tackles.

The Bucs also signed linebacker Quayshawn Nealy and defensive end Ronald Powell to their practice squad.

The 6-0, 237-pound Nealy joins the team after having spent this past offseason and preseason with the Seattle Seahawks. He entered the NFL this year as a college free agent with Seattle.

The 6-3, 237-pound Powell originally entered the league as a fifth-round selection of the New Orleans Saints in the 2014 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he played in 14 games and made two tackles.
