Bucs Don’t Pick up Doug Martin’s Option

The Bucs will not pick up their fifth-year option for running back Doug Martin, meaning he will become an unrestricted free agent after the upcoming season.

Martin, who rushed for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns as a rookie, has been limited by injuries the last two seasons. Backup Bobby Rainey was the team’s leading rusher last year until the final week of the season, when Martin passed him.
