Bears sign two players, release S Vereen

The Chicago Bears signed safety Chris Prosinski and linebacker LaRoy Reynolds and waived safety Brock Vereen on Tuesday in a series of roster moves.

Prosinski played in 56 games and started nine in four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2011-14) and the Philadelphia Eagles (2014). He had 73 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception and six pass breakups.

Reynolds saw action in 30 games and started three in three seasons with the Jaguars. He had 22 tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass breakup on defense and an additional 18 tackles and one fumble recovery on special teams.

Vereen started four games and appeared in 19 during two seasons with the Bears, totaling 38 tackles, one interception and one forced fumble on defense and nine stops on special teams.
